Frassati Tour
HIKING TIME: 6h30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 900 m

The path starts from the Maira river source (1628 m). After a short stretch through larch woods, take the old military road. At an altitude of 1920 m is the Pausa river source. After crossing the plateau, leave the Grange* Pausa on the right and climb up to the ruins of the Caserma (Barracks) at Passo della Cavalla (Pass) (2539 m).
At this point, take a half-hour detour to reach Lago Reculaye (Lake) (2502 m) at the foot of Mount Soberyan on the French side of the Alps.
Then climb down to Colle Munie (2531 m) and walk along a military mule track to Lago Apzoi (Lake) and Bivacco Bonelli (Bivouac) (2323 m). The route allows you to admire Lake Visaisa (1900 m), from where you descend to the starting point.

Roburent Lakes Tour
HIKING TIME: 6h30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 700 m

The starting point is at Prato Ciorliero (1950 m). Continue along the trail through the larch trees and, after half an hour’s walk, take the left turning and you reach the remains of the Caserma Escalon (Barracks) (2270 m).
From here, continue towards Colletto Vittorio and you reach Bivacco due Valli (Bivouac), from where you can admire the wonderful panorama over the Maira and Stura valleys.
Continuing along the old military trail you reach the three Roburent Lakes (2420 m). Then continue to climb up to Passo Scaletta (Pass) (2520 m), where you start the descent back to the starting point.

Lake Meja Tour and the ascent of Mount Rocca
HIKING TIME: 4h30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 500 m

The trail starts from Col del Preit (2075 m) and from here you follow the old military road up to Gias della Margherina (2169 m).
From there, take the trail at the foot of Mount Rocca. After crossing the mountain pasture, you reach Colle della Margherina (2408 m). Turn left and you arrive at Lago della Meja (Lake) (2476 m).
On reaching this point, the more experienced hikers can begin the ascent of Mount Rocca (2840 m). Hiking time for the ascent and descent is about 3 hours. There are steel cables in the most difficult places along the mountain faces. Hikers should wear protective helmets.

Col del Mulo Tour
HIKING TIME: 4h30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 500 m

The starting point is from Gias Valanghe (2100 m) and you then continue up to Col del Vallonetto (2439 m), overlooking the Valle Grana.
Follow the trail up to the ridge, climb over a cabled section of the trail and you will reach Cima Test (2620 m), which offers a stunning 360° view. Then descend towards Colle del Mulo (Pass) (2529 m) along an hour-long path that allows you to admire Rocca la Meja (2840 m), one of the most beautiful peaks in the area. Following what remains of the old military road, you descend to the starting point.

Tour Nero Lake
HIKING TIME: 4h30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 600 m

The trail starts at Prato Selvest (1660 m). Cross the Legogno bridge and continue on the right, taking the road through the larch trees. After half an hour, you reach Grange Golausa (1911 m). From here the trail passes along the foot of Rocca la Meja. After crossing the small pass at 2304 metres, a descent takes you to the basin of Lago Nero (Lake), which is like a terrace that overlooks the Preit di Canosio valley.
Walking along the right-hand side of the lake, take the descent route, along which you can admire rhododendron shrubs. You reach Grange Chiarcarloso (2080 m) and then take the path leading downwards to return to the starting point. By making a small detour, once you get back to the starting point, you can visit the Pis del Passet waterfall (1610 m).

Tour Oserot Lake
HIKING TIME h 5 - HEIGHT GAIN 230 m

Excursion with a demanding passage. The path starts from the Gardetta plateau at 2330 meters.
Following the military road on the right, find an abandoned barracks, from there the path towards Passo Benoir 2536.
Arrived at the pass there are two bunkers of the second war still in excellent conditions. The steep descent begins with a small chain.
Arrived on the pastures you reach Lake Oserot 2307, the return takes you first uphill to Rocca Brancia 2810 meters from there the descent on the old military road to the Rifugio Gardetta starting point.

Tour Rocca Provenzale
HIKING TIME: 3H30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 700 M

Short trip but that allows us to admire the Provencal fortress one of the most suggestive peaks of the Maira Valley starting point Chiappera 1614 mt.
We take the path that starts on the right (pole) just before the clearing where we left the car. We rise quickly in the midst of vegetation until we arrive at a panoramic meadow slope from which we enjoy a beautiful panorama towards the Provencal Rock.
As we climb the landscape behind us it becomes more suggestive, opening towards Chiappera and towards the east face of the Provençal Rock. mt 2317.
Immediately opens a wonderful view of the Stroppia waterfall and the peaks of the upper Maira Valley.
After a stretch of sharp descent with hairpin bends we reach the Grange Rivero.
After passing the stream on a wooden bridge we reach the Grange Collet and in a short time we touch the dirt road that takes us back to Chiappera.

Stroppia Waterfalls – Neira Lake
HIKING TIME: 3H30 - HEIGHT GAIN: 650 Meter

Short but demanding route, starting at 1650m from Chiappera, the last village in the valley, one of the most suggestive.
Following the dirt road , on the left, the starting point of the path for the Rifugio di Stroppia.
All along the route you can admire the waterfall of Stroppia, the highest in Europe.
(ideal period May June) at an altitude of 2.302 you reach Lake Neira from where the waterfalls are born.

To Mount Scaletta
HIKING TIME: 7H15 - HEIGHT GAIN: 1.126 Meter Max

EXCURSIVE excursion for experts.
The path starts from the Prato Ciorliero 1,940 ruins immediately on the right.
The continuous climb takes us through the pastures to the Scaletta hill at 2,640 meters.
From here begins the most demanding stretch, on the left follow the red-blue signs for the Sentiro Cavallero.
After passing a Second World War tunnel (a light is needed) attention in front of the track becomes difficult, you get to Mount Scaletta at 2840 meters from Gui you can enjoy an incredible 360 ° view of the Roburent Lakes.
From here the well-marked descent begins, with some sections of the chain.
Arriving at Passo Peroni 2584 continue to: Passo della Croce 2630 From there follow the remains of the military road to Colle Oserot 2640 – Rocca Brancia 2606.
From there you can admire the Gardetta plateau following the old road, on the hill on the left you will find the path that takes you back to the starting point.
